McMinnville resident and Warren County native Cleo Frances Bishop, age 80, was born February 22, 1930 and died May 8, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired seamstress with Gardner and member of the Freedom Life Worship Center, she was the daughter of the late Dexter and Cora Elliott Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lloyd Dean Steakley; brothers, Willard, Tom, Coon and James Barnes and sisters, Novella Bratcher and Laura Jones. She is survived by eleven children and their spouses, Linda and Kenny Rogers of McDonough, GA, Doris Steakley of Sarasota, FL, Joyce Willett and Delores Williamson both of McMinnville, Frank Steakley of St. Petersburg, FL, Larry and Sylvia Steakley and Donna and Jerry Bastien both of Monroe, MI, Wanda Steakley of San Diego, CA, Rick and Glenda Steakley of Indianapolis, IN, Jeff and Pam Steakley of Morrison, TN and Joey and Nita Steakley of Murfreesboro, TN; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in High's Chapel with Charles Dotson officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
