Mary Novella BOUNDS

McMinnville resident and Huntsville, AL native Mary Novella Bounds, age 86, was born January 15, 1924 and died December 23, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A retired cook at Dairy Hill Restaurant and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clessie and Bertie Sanders Mullican. She was married to Lee Austin Bounds who preceded her in death January 23, 1991. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Bell and two brothers, James and Earl Leroy Mullican. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Glenda Bounds of McMinnville and Gerald Bounds of Pikeville, TN; daughter, Barbara McGiboney of Texas; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother, Jr. Mullican of Sparta, TN; three sisters, Dorothy Powell and Nell Chisam both of McMinnville and Jane Gilbert of Sparta, TN and special friend, Carol Hollingsworth. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Lane Dix officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
