Billy Carl BUTCHER

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Billy Carl Butcher, age 67, was born April 4, 1942 and died March 29, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A carpenter and member of the Smyrna Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Howard and Irene Dodson Butcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Butcher; brother, Jim Butcher; mother-in-law, Irene McBride and father-in-law, James Fults. He was married April 16, 1966 to Helen Fults Butcher of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and her fiancé Karen Holland and John Cox of McMinnville; son and his fiancée, Gregory Butcher, Sr. and Tina Fults of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Gregory Butcher, Jr., Phillip Michael Holland, Jr., Billy Carl Holland, Kara Butcher, James Butcher, Braxton Cox and Zachary Gillentine; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford "Bud" and Barbara Butcher and Willard and Betty Jean Butcher both of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Rance Anderson of Murfreesboro, TN and Brenda and Hershel Perry of Beersheba Springs, TN; several nieces and nephews; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Buddy and Brenda McBride of Alabama, Clinton McBride of Michigan and Raymond and Marcie McBride of Viola, TN; sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Shirley and Danny Matheny of McMinnville and special daughter, Tammy Hughes of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 in High's Chapel with Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
