Larry Price Silverwings BYARS

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Larry Price "Silverwings" Byars, age 68, was born January 31, 1942 and died May 10, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A truck driver with Riddle Transport and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Alvie Byars of McMinnville and the late Delma "Dale" Smith Byars. He was married September 28, 1984 to Peggy Byars of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Clara Byars of McMinnville, Dwain and Barbara Byars of Franklin, TN and Bobby and Debbie Byars of Arkansas; four children and their spouses, Lonnie and Ginger Byars, Michael and Tina Byars, Brandi Byars and Jeremy and Kristina Boles all of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 in High's Chapel with Doris Hughes officiating. Burial followed in the Byars Cemetery.
