Ola Mae BYARS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ola May Byars, age 84, was born June 6, 1924 and died December 24, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Genesco and member of the Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Haughty Lee Gillentine. She was married to Glenn Wilbur Byars who preceded her in death December 23, 1995. In addition to her husband and mother, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenna Elizabeth Byars, September 6, 1955. She is survived by one daughter, Joye Fuston of McMinnville; two granddaughters, Stephanie Fuston of Murfreesboro, TN and Michele Fuston of McMinnville; grandson and his wife, Stephen and Leann Fuston of Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Glenna and Paige Fuston, Nick Fuston and Warner Cole and special friend, Tina Bridges. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 in High's Chapel with Tim Long officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
