McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Zebbie Black Campbell, age 82, was born December 3, 1927 and died June 2, 2010 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Forest Nursery Company, United States Army veteran of Korea and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Hardie Albert and Ellen Burns Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Rogers, Barbara Fults, Emmie Campbell and Sadie Campbell; five brothers, Dow, Dillard, George, Sam and Zeddie Campbell and granddaughter, Emma Mangrum. He is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Sam Campbell of Murfreesboro, TN and Dale and Tara Campbell and Joe Blanton Campbell both of McMinnville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Rusty Mangrum of McMinnville and Greta and Jason Bumpus of Murfreesboro, TN; children's mother, Edna Campbell of McMinnville; four grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Grovene Curtis of Smithville, TN and Edna and Eddie Farless of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with Billy Campbell and Randy King officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
