McMinnville resident and Dibrell Community native Cloa L. Foster Cantrell, age 87, was born May 2, 1922 and died February 14, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. A retired employee of Genesco and member of Dibrell Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday School teacher in her younger years, she was the daughter of the late Oscar L. and Hattie Denton Foster. She was married December 11, 1938 to Frank Elbert Cantrell who preceded her in death June 17, 1994. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Euclid, Howard and Lloyd Foster and son-in-law, Joe B. Ware. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Jean Ware of Rock Island, TN and Nell and Eugene Kiefer of Abilene, TX; four grandchildren and their spouses, Kerry and Kim Keifer of Plainfield, IN, Kristy and Jerry Knight of Bryan, TX, Bryan and Janice Ware of St. Louis, MO and Jeanetta and John Cothron of Smyrna, TN; four great-grandchildren, Katelynn and Karyn Kiefer and Samuel and Joshua Cothron; sister, Cora Stembridge of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Clydie Foster of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Charles Cantrell and wife Lona of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 in High's Chapel with William Walkup and Kevin Key officiating. Burial followed in the Fuston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to East End Church of Christ for the support of Garland Robinson.
