Emma Lou CANTRELL

McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Emma Lou Cantrell, age 81, was born March 4, 1929 and died November 12, 2010 at her residence following a sudden illness. A retired bookkeeper with C&M Machine Shop and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Hester Lee Scott Barnes. She was married to Clifford Eugene Cantrell who preceded her in death March 26, 2006. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kerry and Terry Mullican and Kathy and Barry Taylor both of McMinnville and Cheryl and Brent Pirtle of Woodbury, TN; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Jacci Mullican, Jennifer and Pieter van Vuuren, Jarod and Rebecca Mullican, Jerri and Ben Martin, Willie Clifford and Shawndee Taylor, Breanna "Miss B" Taylor, Joey and JoAnn Pirtle and Jana and Jeremy Gannon; eleven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Marie Womack and Joyce Craig both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key and Garland Robinson officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
