Elaine Faith CATHEY

Woodbury, TN resident and Rutherford County, TN native Elaine Faith Cathey, age 55, was born May 13, 1955 and died November 12, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of the East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter Elizabeth Owens of Murfreesboro, TN and the late Robert Jones, Sr. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas E. Jones; niece, Kimberly Jones; paternal grandparents, Robert and Era Jones; maternal grandparents, Mary and Ed Stewart and grandfather, Rooster Messick. She was married to Richard E. Cathey of Smithville, TN. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Shawn Washer of Smithville, TN, Jennifer Cathey of Woodbury, TN and Christy Elrod of Shelbyville, TN; son, Richard E. Cathey, Jr. of Shelbyville, TN; fourteen grandchildren and four brothers, Robert Jones, Jr. of Florida, Nathan Jones of Estill Springs, TN, Greg Jones and Joseph Jones of Shelbyville, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kevin Key officiating. Burial followed in the Trousdale Cemetery.
