Geneva Hayes CRAWLEY

July 18, 1915 — May 19, 2010

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Geneva Hayes Crawley, age 94, was born July 18, 1915 and died May 19, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A retired sales clerk for King's Department Store and a member of Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Haywood and Mallie Zinnie Johnson Hayes. She was married to Leonard Edward Crawley, who preceded her in death March 24, 2009. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linnie Medlen and Phairzetta Cantrell; brother, Haskel Hayes and half-brothers and half-sister, Roy, Ralph, Reed and Robert Hayes and Myrtle Medlen. She is survived by one sister, Christine Cantrell of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Alma Hayes of Manchester, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2010 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in Mt. View Cemetery.
