Jewell T. Dude CUNNINGHAM

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jewell T. "Dude" Cunningham, age 84, was born May 12, 1925 and died February 4, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Burroughs-Ross-Colville Company and United States Army veteran, he attended Rolling Acres Brethren In Christ Church and was the son of the late Jess Calvin and Bertha Underwood Cunningham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Chester, Jess Adams and Cecil Cunningham and sister, Alene Orr. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Darlene Cunningham of Morrison, TN and Darrell and Diana Cunningham of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Kyle Cunningham of McMinnville and Nathan Cunningham of Morrison, TN; sister, Brownie Lance of the Ivy Bluff Community; special friend, Amy Stegg of the Centertown Community and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2010 in High's Chapel with Ralph Tucker officiating. Burial followed in the Grange Hall Cemetery with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
