Carl William DAVIS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carl William Davis, age 59, was born June 29, 1951 and died September 5, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. The superintendent of the water and waste water departments of the City of McMinnville, he attended Friendship The Baptist Church and was the son of the late Edward and Gladys Potter Davis. He was married to Joy Hale Davis of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and David Miller of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kristi Davis of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Logan and Cameron Miller, Jade and Drew Davis and McKenzi and Chandler Rockwell; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Maxine Davis of Manchester, TN; niece, Susan Abbott of Kentucky; mother-in-law, Frances Hale of McMinnville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Mark King and Mike and Brooke Hale all of Rock Island, TN and Liz and Rick Reed, Wayne Hale and Sam Hale all of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in High's Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
