James Ozias DENTON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Ozias Denton, age 92, was born November 10, 1917 and died January 14, 2010 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood, TN following a lingering illness. A retired employee of Goodyear Tire Company in Muncie, IN and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Green and Bessie Darnell Denton. He was married to Louise Certain Denton who preceded him in death December 11, 2003. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Hal and Mary Jo Denton of Cookeville, TN; grandson, Patrick Denton of Johnson City, TN; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Edward and Dorene Daniel of Florida; step-granddaughters, Debbie Howard of Cleveland, TN and Carolyn Parks of Tupelo, MS; sister, Lorene Robbins of McMinnville and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Forester and Bessie May of Huntsville, AL. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 in High's Chapel with Hal Denton officiating. Burial followed in the Concord Cemetery.
