Linda Carnedith DOVE

Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Linda Carnedith Dove, age 65, was born October 19, 1944 and died April 29, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A former seamstress at Brenda's Sportswear and member of the Pine Bluff Community Church, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Mae Taylor Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Anita Darlene and Walter Ray Dove and grandson, Benjamin Ross Dove. She was married to Chester Dove of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Dwayne and Debbie Dove of Rock Island, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Cristy and Stephen Mike Grissom of Rock Island, TN; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three brothers, David Smith of Rock Island, TN, Olan Smith of Bone Cave, TN and Dewey Smith of McMinnville and four sisters, Sandra Owens and Joan Smith both of McMinnville and Freda Duggin and Kathy King both of Rock Island, TN. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010 in High's Chapel with Everett Wilson and Roland Sharp officiating. Burial followed in the Old Bybee Cemetery.
