Joel Brock FITZGERALD

McMinnville resident and Chattanooga, TN native Joel Brock Fitzgerald, age 60, was born April 1, 1949 and died March 22, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. A forty-year employee of Purity Dairies and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Carl Edward and Flona Brock Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Mark Fitzgerald. He was married October 14, 1972 to Dian Cavin Fitzgerald. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Paul Phifer of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Randy Jennings of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Ashley Newport and husband Jason, Kayla Freeman, Randall Jennings, Alana Jennings and Alisha Jennings all of McMinnville; great-grandson, Taben Newport; niece, Christina Smartt and husband Derrick of Tracy City, TN; great-niece, Paige Smartt and great-nephew, Tyler Smartt. At Mr. Fitzgerald's request, he was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
