Sarah Elizabeth Elkins GARRETT

McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Sarah Elizabeth Elkins Garrett, age 62, was born February 14, 1948 and died March 25, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. The owner of a nursery and member of First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, she was the daughter of the late Shelie and Jessie Mobley Elkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Debbie and Jeffery; three brothers, William Howard, Carlton Eugene and Shelie, Jr. and grandson, Cody Medley. She was married September 22, 1979 to Bill Garrett of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Sarah Medley and Timothy and Crystal Medley both of McMinnville and Russell Pease of Kentucky; two daughters and son-in-law, Sheila and Scott Nash and Cynthia Baer both of McMinnville; three sisters, Jackie Blankenship, Peggy Muncey and Patricia Garrett all of McMinnville; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; special friend, Jennifer Martin and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Wilson's Chapel Cemetery with Steve Scott officiating.
