Billy Roy GRIFFITH

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Billy Roy Griffith, age 74, was born September 5, 1936 and died September 24, 2010 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following a three-week illness. A farmer and Tennessee Army National Guard veteran, he was the son of the late Thurman and Pauline Newby Griffith. He was married to Sandra Sanders Griffith of the Oak Grove Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Chandra Elkins of the Dibrell Community and Dana Griffith of Cookeville, TN and three aunts, Frances "Aunt Frank" Holcomb of the Oak Grove Community, Vicky Newby of Florida and Hallie (Rex) Martin. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2010 in High's Chapel with Comer Mullican officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dibrell Memorial Museum c/o High's.
