Thelma Miss Lucy GRISSOM

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Thelma "Miss Lucy" Grissom, age 98, was born March 10, 1912 and died December 1, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. A seamstress with McMinnville Garment Company and member of the Arlington Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Flora Gribble Green. She was married August 30, 1943 to Raymond Howard Grissom who preceded her in death November 6, 1995. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Shelby Smith, Evelyn Sanders and Frances Kell and brother, Avery Green. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and special loved ones, Gary, Jeanne, Jonathan and Jessica Hagar. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with Wayne Cantrell and Jonathan Hagar officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
