Rev. Paul Richard GUNN

McMinnville, TN resident and Davidson County, TN native Rev. Paul Richard Gunn, age 72, was born September 28, 1938 and died October 10, 2010 following an extended illness. A retired minister at Irving College Baptist Church, a United States Navy veteran, and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Paul Monroe and Ruby Lee Ethridge Gunn. In addition to to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Weatherford, Ruth Davis and Martha Kincaid. He was married April 13, 1963 to Sylvia Conatser Gunn of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul T. and Susan Gunn of Mt. Juliet, TN, Dann Gunn of Batavia, IL and Jesse and Autumn Gunn of Beech Grove, TN; two daughters, Cathy M. Gunn of Nashville, TN and Gina S. Gunn of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren, Elaine Ruby, Aaron Gunn and Matt Gunn all of Mt. Juliet, TN, Donna Gunn of Nashville, TN and J. D., Evan and Lexi Gunn all of Beech Grove, TN; two sisters, Jean Marshall of Nashville, TN and Janie Reed of Gallatin, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in High's Chapel with Charles Anderson, Carl Smith and John Padgett officiating. Burial followed at Smyrna Cemetery.
