Harvel HALE

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Harvel Hale, age 80, was born June 24, 1929 and died April 13, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. The retired owner of H&H Plumbing and Electric, United States Army veteran and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Lawson and Maggie McCormick Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Ronald Hale. He was married to Frances Hennessee Hale of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Carl Davis and Liz and Ricky Reed both of McMinnville and Kathy and Mark King of Rock Island, TN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Arlene Hale and Sammy Hale both of McMinnville and Mike and Brooke Hale of Rock Island, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, Corbin McCormick and R.T. McCormick both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with James Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
