Jack HASTON

Spencer, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native "Jack" Haston, age 90, was born August 31, 1919 and died April 5, 2010 at Alive Hospice @ St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A heavy equipment operator, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Church of Christ he was the son of the late Maude Haston. He was married to Thelma Hodges Haston who preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Anthony Haston of Cookeville, TN; two daughters, Janie Burkett of Hurricane Mills, TN and Ruth Haston of Somerset, KY; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Spencer Town Cemetery.
