Colby Lee KING

McMinnville resident and Rutherford County, TN native Colby Lee King, age 26, was born November 2, 1983 and died suddenly March 13, 2010 at River Park Hospital. An employee of Sunoco Manufacturing and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of Tommy King of McMinnville and Sonjia Winfree of McMinnville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Hassie King and Thelma Woodlee. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Madison Lynn Steele King; step-mother, Briget King of McMinnville; step-father, Tom Winfree of McMinnville; two sisters, Talekia and Breanna King of McMinnville; three brothers and their spouses, Tommy and Holly Hillis and Kegan King both of McMinnville and Kevin and Kerry Hillis of Rock Island, TN; niece, Grayson Hillis of Rock Island, TN; two nephews, Chase Hillis of Rock Island, TN and Kaizer Hillis of McMinnville; grandfather, Jewel Woodlee; several aunts, uncles and cousins; step-grandparents, Ray and Julia Pitts of McMinnville and Jerry and Cathy Wright of Spencer, TN and step-sisters and step-brother-in-law, Rachel and Jeremy Barnes and Amanda Winfree both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in High's Chapel with Nick Pelham and Gary Few officiating. Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
