Christine George LINDSEY

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Christine George Lindsey, age 89, was born April 14, 1921 and died December 28, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. A retired secretary with Thomas Industries and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late James M. and Maggie Mae Cole George. She was married to Robert Oscar Lindsey who preceded her in death December 8, 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Hall and two brothers, Colbert Ray and Lloyd M. George. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Warden Hulan and Arlene George of the Centertown Community; three granddaughters, Tonja Dykes, Rhonda Harmon and Theresa Milligan all of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and step-grandson, Rob Wolford of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010 in High's Chapel with Johnny Lance officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
