Earl T. LUSK

December 11, 1925 — March 25, 2010

Morrison, TN resident and Marshall County, AL native Earl T. Lusk, age 84, was born December 11, 1925 and died March 25, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier, United States Air Force veteran of WWII and member of the Westside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, he was the son of the late Thomas C. and Cora Lee Beaird Lusk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Cecil N. Lusk and two brothers, Rayford W. and Byron H. Lusk. He was married for sixty-five years to Bessie Cecil Lusk of Morrison, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Thomas W. and Linda Lusk, Wilma and Bill Blankenship, Annie and David Moffitt and Nina and Doug Wilcher all of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren and their spouses, Jerry and Beth Blankenship, Jason and Mandy Blankenship, Clint Lusk, Michael and Darlana Lytle, Russell and Leslie Lytle, Shane and Kayla Wilcher, Shari Owens, Melanie and Daniel Sullens, Michelle and Josh Carpenter, Hannah Phillips, Hilary Phillips, Kimberly Wilcher and Nichole Wilcher; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Clarron D. and Phyllis Lusk of Altamont, TN; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue Lusk of Altamont, TN, Opal Lusk of Chattanooga, TN and Mary Sue and Billy J. Casey of Estill Springs, TN; special friend, Marie Geer of McMinnville; caregivers, Brenda, Maribeth and the nurses at NHC and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 in High's Chapel with Tommy Lusk officiating. Burial followed in the Airview Cemetery in Grundy County, TN with military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173.
