Betty Perry MADEWELL

McMinnville resident and Madison County, AL native Betty Perry Madewell, age 79, was born September 2, 1931 and died December 11, 2010 at Alive Hospice @ St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a two-week illness. A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Boyd and Mamie Ruth Hastings Perry. She was married June 22, 1951 to Archie Delmas "Buddy" Madewell who preceded her in death August 6, 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Royce "Pee Wee" and Houston Perry. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Martha Madewell of Murfreesboro, TN; two granddaughters, Kimberly (Jud) Jones of Medina, TN and Alison Madewell of LaVergne, TN; brother, Kenneth Perry of Hollie, MI; sister-in-law, Sharon Perry of Rainbow City, AL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in High's Chapel with Johnny Parker and Jimmy Cope officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
