Milton Locke MADEWELL

Gallatin, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Milton Locke Madewell, age 74, was born July 23, 1935 and died February 25, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired food vendor and United States Army veteran of Korea, he was the son of Eula Locke Madewell Bryant of Indianapolis, IN and the late Gilbert Madewell. He was married to Edith Mae Clemons Madewell who preceded him in death July 22, 2009. In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Jean Roddy. In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Sherry Lynn Ricketts of Hermitage, TN, Sheila Ann Stopp of Vernon, CT and Milton Gilbert Madewell and Sandra Gail Madewell both of Gallatin, TN; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Louis Madewell of McMinnville and three sisters, Brenda Bryant of Camby, IN, Linda Godan of Brownsburg, IN and Wanda Faye Sharpe of Groveland, FL. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery.
