April 13, 1944 — February 15, 2010

Rock Island, TN resident and Waynesville, NC native Elizabeth Gwendolyn "Gwen" Marlowe, age 65, was born April 13, 1944 and died February 15, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. A lab supervisor with Warren County General Hospital and McMinnville Medical Center and member of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late Grady T. and Clennis Breeden Frisby. She was married January 4, 1970 to Kelly W. Marlowe of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Camilla and Ritchey Rhea of Bone Cave, TN and Gina Maxwell of McMinnville; son, Scott Marlowe of Chattanooga, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Anne Frisby of Manchester, TN; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Marlowe and Crystal Wells both of Peoria, IL; three grandsons, Christopher Marlowe and Nathan Maxwell both of Memphis, TN and Ross Marlowe of Knoxville, TN; three granddaughters, Karen Marlowe of McMinnville and Allison Maxwell and Melyssa Marlowe both of Chattanooga, TN; great-granddaughter, Tessilyn West of McMinnville; special niece, Marla Frisby of Murfreesboro, TN; special nephew, Derek Frisby and wife Debbie of Woodbury, TN; aunts, Ilda Barnes of Newport, TN and Jean Breeden of High Point, NC and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Lanny Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Warren County Relay For Life c/o High's.
