Carmon June MARTIN

Indianapolis, IN resident and Warren County native Carmon June Martin, age 88, was born June 3, 1921 and died January 21, 2010 at St. Frances Hospital in Beech Grove, IN following a two-day illness. A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Avery and Pauline Gertrude McGregor Evans. She was married to Carson Wheeler Martin who preceded her in death April 18, 2001. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacob Evans and Art Evans and sister, Eva Sims. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Hugh and Wendy Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and Randall Martin; daughter, Cynthia Boyd of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; half-brother, Douglas Cowell of Florida; sister-in-law, Sarah Evans of McMinnville and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, R.G. and Janie Martin, Jr. of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in High's Chapel with Tommy Lusk officiating. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
