SR., Clarence Cornelius MARTIN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Clarence Cornelius Martin, Sr., age 79, was born June 3, 1931 and died December 21, 2010 at St .Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier and United States Air Force veteran of Vietnam, he was the son of the late George Henry and Stella Savage Martin. He was married to Margie Shockley Martin of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Tina Louise Martin of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Clarence and Sharon Martin, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC; five grandchildren, Maurice Martin, Anneka Martin, Cynthia Martin, Terence Ramsey and Laniece Sims; two great-grandchildren, Lariah Sims and Lazayvion Maurice Young; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia Etter and Ray Huggins of McMinnville; nephew, Terry L. Etter of Nashville, TN; niece, Gwendolyn Etter Lewis of Ohio and great-nephew, Ariel S. Lewis of Michigan. A graveside service and interment was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Gardens of Memory. Full military honors were administered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard from Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA.
