Carol Ruth Beechum MCCORMICK

McMinnville resident and Benton County, TN native Carol Ruth Beechum McCormick, age 69, was born May 1, 1941 and died suddenly August 28, 2010 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. A homemaker and member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Benton and Manie Alsup Beechum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James "Jimmy" Beechum and sister, Joyce Mangrum. She was married July 3, 1959 to Billy H. "Bill" McCormick of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Kim and Eastland Broom, Kirk and Tracy McCormick and Kerrie Owens and friend, Dave Blodgett all of McMinnville; six grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Tommy Pollina, Kirby Broom, Macy Broom, Daniel and Dayron Owens, Kasey Owens and Morgan McCormick; step-grandson, Eric Cantrell; great-grandson, Locklan Cantrell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Beechum and Don and Debra Beechum both of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Bobby Earls of Winchester, TN; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Robert Mangrum of Lafayette, TN and sister-in-law, Carol Beechum of Camden, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in High's Chapel with Jerry Smith, Tommy Lusk and John Padgett officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
