Rita Myers MCCORMICK

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Rita Myers McCormick, age 76, was born February 21, 1933 and died January 6, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Dean Fults Myers. She was married to Ernest "Bud" McCormick who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Wayne McCormick; grandson, Eddie West and great-granddaughter, Celestral Breeze Lithicume. She is survived by three sons, Ernest Lee McCormick of Viola, TN and Davis and Leon McCormick both of Manchester, TN; two daughters, Vonda Hogan of Kendallville, IN and Linda Malpass of McMinnville; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hester Young of McMinnville, Hessie Myers of Viola, TN and Marie Carson of Grundy County, TN; three brothers, Billy Myers and Frank Myers both of Viola, TN and Kenneth Myers of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 in High's Chapel with Ricky Basham officiating. Burial followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
