SR., Kelly MCVEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Kelly McVey, Sr., age 90, was born March 24, 1920 and died April 11, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. McVey owned and ran Spring Street Service Station for forty years. He was the son of the late Eli and Ora Collier McVey and was a member of the New Union United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William, James and Arlus McVey and three sisters, Dyllus Anderson, Edna Hillis and Alta Hill. He was married August 14, 1941 to Nancy Novella Luna McVey of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Starr McVey, Jr. of McMinnville; two grandsons, Jason McVey and wife Sarah of McMinnville and Jeremy McVey of McMinnville; sister, Ora Ruth McVey of McMinnville and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at New Union United Methodist Church with Tim Lewis, Mark Carrigan and David Grissom officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.
