Nancy Novella MCVEY

Lifelong McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Nancy Novella McVey, age 88, was born October 31, 1921 and died September 26, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the New Union Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Webb and Jettie Mae Williamson Luna. She was married August 14, 1941 to Robert Kelly McVey, Sr. who preceded her in death April 11, 2010. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ardelia York and Leora McGiboney and two brothers, Herman and Waymon Luna. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Starr McVey of McMinnville and two grandsons, Jason McVey and wife Sarah and Jeremy McVey both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at New Union Methodist Church with Tim Lewis, Mark Carrigan and David Grissom officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.
