Ora Ruth MCVEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ora Ruth McVey, age 87, was born October 1, 1922 and died May 21, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. A retired employee of Century Electric and member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Ora Collier McVey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Kelly, Sr., Arlus, James and William McVey and three sisters, Alta Hill, Edna Hillis and Dyllus Anderson. She is survived by her friend, Ova Dean Bess of McMinnville; two nephews, Kelly McVey, Jr. and wife Starr of McMinnville and Freddie Anderson of Florida and four nieces, Doris Hill, Alta Faye Gribble, Erline Cunningham and Linda Scott all of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.
