Billy Joe MINTON

Campaign, TN resident and Warren County native Billy Joe Minton, age 75, was born April 11, 1935 and died September 29, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. An employee of Three Star Mall and member of the Eastside Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Joseph B. "Joe" and Pearlie Mae Davis Minton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Minton; sisters, Blanche Matheny, Eva Lee Crawford and Mildred Johnson and niece Darlene Johnson. He was married June 8, 1957 to Betty Sue Hillis Minton of Campaign, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and their spouses, Tim and Pam Minton and Debbie and Charles Barnes both of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Tiffany Minton, Matthew Barnes and wife Kayla and Justin Barnes and fiancée Stacia Rowland all of McMinnville; two step-grandsons, Brandon Adcock and Patrick Adcock both of McMinnville; nephew, Sidney Matheny and wife Joyce of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Edna Ledbetter of the Centertown Community and brother-in-law, L.J. Matheny of Campaign, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 in High's Chapel with Jim Hunt and John Padgett officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery.
