Scotty Joe MORTON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Scotty Joe Morton, age 29, was born December 11, 1980 and died October 18, 2010. A welder at Morrison Tool and Fab and member of the Dayspring Community Church, he was the son of Geraldine Davenport Morton of McMinnville and the late William L. Morton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Brenda Lee Tanner and Phyllis Winton. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Barry Swim of McMinnville; brother, Richey Morton of Winchester, TN; half-brother, Steven Tanner and wife Kim of McMinnville; half-sister, Marsha Means of Forest City, NC; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and was liked by all. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 in High's Chapel with Rex Boles officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
