Thomas MULLICAN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Thomas Mullican, age 89, was born September 26, 1921 and died December 31, 2010 at his residence. The owner of McMinnville Manufacturing Company, United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late William Thomas Mullican and Faye Akers Mullican Dillon. He was married to Connie Williams Mullican who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one son, James B. Mullican. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marion and Bill Marks of Florida; two sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Jenny Mullican of McMinnville and Mike Mullican of Ocoee, TN; daughter-in-law, Pat Mullican of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, B.A. and Dorothy Mullican of Maryville, TN; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas R. and Tosha Marks of Alpharetta, GA, Michael and Leigh Ann Marks and Diane and Chad Randall both of Franklin, TN; Doctors Dodd Franklin and Kathleen Mullican of Birmingham, AL, William Thomas and April Mullican, III of Spring Hill, TN; James Patrick and Deirdre Mullican of Winter Garden, FL; Ryan and Jill Mullican of Denver, CO, Kari and Ryan Maloney of Murfreesboro, TN and Josh and Carey Mullican of Hendersonville, TN and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at Mt. View Cemetery with Rev. Bob Case officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday. There will be no visitation on Monday prior to the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Research Institute, 3322 West End Ave., Suite 900, Nashville, TN 37203.
