Jimmie Lee NOWLIN

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Jimmie Lee Nowlin, age 67, was born September 30, 1943 and died October 3, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital following an extended illness. A job setter with Chrysler Corporation and member of the Church of God Pentecostal, he was the son of the late William P. "Doc" and Bernice L. Melton Nowlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Nowlin and brothers, Roy and William, Jr. He was married July 20, 1963 to Anita Ruth McCarver Nowlin of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Cheryl and Michael Church of Clawson, MI, Barbra and Ryan Koths of Woodhaven, MI, James and Stephanie Nowlin of Taylor, MI and Kristal and James Flateau of Traverse City, MI; twelve grandchildren, John, Jr., Steven, Amanda, Tyler, Haley, Paul, Kaitlyn, David, Amber, Kelsey, Ryan and Kayla and two great-grandchildren, John, III and Payton. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 in High's Chapel with Charles Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in the Kimbros Cemetery in Bedford County, TN. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at High's.
