Cora Louise Bishop NUNLEY

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Cora Louise Bishop Nunley, age 81, was born March 4, 1929 and died October 22, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier and Warren County School System and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Walter Mills and Mamie Melvina Hargrove Bishop, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rice A. Nunley; two brothers, Elvin and James "Sonny" Bishop and sister, Gladys Hennessee. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Frances Nunley of Cookeville, TN and Stan and Tina Nunley, George and Rose Nunley and Bruce Nunley all of McMinnville; two daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Ronnie McBride and Sonjia Nunley both of McMinnville; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Walter and Mary Ann Bishop of McMinnville and Billy Bob and Wilma Bishop of Rock Island, TN; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Morris Scott of Rock Island, TN and Elise and Jerry Killen of Smithville, TN; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010 in High's Chapel with Harry Green and Kenneth W. Kirby officiating. Burial followed in the White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
