McMinnville resident and Warren County native Stanley M. Nunley, age 58, was born September 21, 1952 and died December 2, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a courageous battle. A long-time employee of Caney Fork Electric Cooperative, retired construction worker and member of the Presbyterian Church he was the son of the late Rice A. and Cora Louise Bishop Nunley. Mr. Nunley was a standout lineman at Warren County High School where he made the All Mid-State Team in 1969 and received a football scholarship to MTSU. He was named one of the best lineman in the southeast in 1986 while with Caney Fork. He was a youth softball and football coach and former member of the Lions Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Beverly Mainer. He is survived by his wife, Tina Nunley of McMinnville; daughter, Amy Craig of McMinnville; three granddaughters, Easton and Annalee McCormick and Ayala Craig; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve (twin brother) and Frances Nunley of Cookeville, TN and George and Rose Nunley and Bruce Nunley both of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Ronnie McBride of Viola, TN and Sonjia Nunley of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; companion, Ella Mae; special friend, Dennis McBride and numerous friends and caretakers. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Kirby and Harry Green officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
