Edward Brown OLIVER

January 30, 1923 — February 10, 2010

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Edward Brown Oliver, age 87, was born January 30, 1923 and died February 10, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired teacher with the Humphreys, Cumberland, and Warren County School Systems and member of the East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Brown and Maude Ellen Meiser Oliver. Mr. Oliver was a Boy Scout Leader for more than thirty years and was a long-time song leader at Centertown Church of Christ. He was married July 12, 1984 to Juanita Martin Oliver of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Winona and Marion Ward of McMinnville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Faith Martin of Wichita, KS and special family members, Walene and David Byars of McMinnville and Brenda and Ricky Henderson of Rock Island, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 in High's Chapel with Doris Hughes, Garland Robinson and Kevin Key officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to East End Church of Christ for support for Garland Robinson.
