Claudie Lee PEASE

Beersheba Springs, TN resident and Sail Creek, TN native Claudie Lee Pease, age 87, was born May 29, 1922 and died March 26, 2010 at Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Addressograph in Euclid, OH, retired policeman with Fairport Harbor Village in Painesville, OH and United States Navy veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late Prince and Maggie Hale Pease. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Pease; daughter, Alvaline Pease; brothers, John Henry, James Marshall, L.B., Howard and George Pease and grandsons, Jeffery Hobbs, Jerry Sims, James Fults, Timmy Pease and Jimmy Pease. He was married September 24, 1960 to Della Meeks Pease of Beersheba Springs, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons and daughter-in-law, Ralph E. Pease, J.P. and Sharon Pease, Claude A. Pease and Faron L. Pease all of McMinnville; six daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Carl Hobbs, Frances Turner, Carolyn Sims, Hassie Forsyth, Patricia Turner and Veronica and Johnny Ledbetter all of McMinnville; sister, Hattie Pearl Breedlove of McMinnville; forty-two grandchildren, eighty-six great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 in High's Chapel with Ricky Hawkins and Jimmy King officiating. Burial followed in the Hunerwadel Cemetery in Grundy County, TN with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
