McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Loyd Houston Pedigo, age 85, was born June 17, 1924 and died January 14, 2010 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. The owner and operator of Loyd's T.V. and Radio Service for thirty-seven years, a United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Day Spring Community Church, he was the son of the late Pleasant Moses and Effie Lillian Reeder Pedigo. He was married March 23, 1948 to Mamie Loretta Hawkins Pedigo who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee Allen, Toy Ralph and Floyd Pedigo and three sisters, Martha Ann Pedigo Clemons, Susan Ann Pedigo and Allene Pedigo Dunn. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and G.L. Wilcher of McMinnville; two grandsons and their wives, Blaine and Lori Wilcher and Shane and Trenena Wilcher both of McMinnville; five great-granddaughters, Lindsay, Kelsey, Zoe, Annie and Emma Wilcher; brother and sister-in-law, Norvan and Wilma Jo Pedigo of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Jesse A. Whitlock and Lessie and Clarence V. Womack both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Charles Creek Cemetery with Rex Boles and Bobby Moore officiating.
