Terry David PHIFER

Nashville, TN resident and Warren County native Terry David Phifer, age 30, was born September 10, 1980 and died September 13, 2010 in Jamaica following a sudden illness. A sales representative with Sherwin Williams and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of Janie Underwood of the Short Mountain Community and the late David Clinton Phifer. Mr. Phifer was a 2005 graduate of Tennessee Tech University and an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Delma Phifer and maternal grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Bond. He was married September 11, 2010 to Casey Walker Phifer of Nashville, TN. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Jaxson Phifer of Jamestown, TN; step-father, Bill Underwood of the Short Mountain Community; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jason and Kim Hollandsworth of Morrison, TN and Paul Phifer of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Randy Jennings of McMinnville; nieces and nephew, Kali and Alex Hollandsworth, Ashley (Jason) Newport and Kayla Freeman; step-nieces and nephew, Alisha, Alana and Randall Jennings all of Manchester; father-in-law, Michael Walker of Michigan; mother-in-law, Patricia (Edward) Lysyczyn of New York and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Central Church of Christ with Mike Steakley and Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jaxson Phifer Trust Fund c/o Security Federal Savings Bank.
