Marion Lavoy PISTOLE

Murfreesboro, TN resident (formerly of McMinnville) and Warren County native Marion Lavoy Pistole, age 87, was born November 17, 1922 and died September 29, 2010 at Adam's Place in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A sales manager with IBM for twenty-five years, United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Allie Mae Holder Pistole. He was married July 21, 1947 to Wilma Greene Pistole who preceded him in death January 10, 2007. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Charlie, Sid, Herbert, Bill and Alex Pistole and sister, Lucille Scott. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and the late Chris Young of Mitchell, GA, Cheri and Dan Kimbrough of Wiesbaden, Germany and Donna and Rick Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; two sons, David Pistole of McMinnville and Roger Pistole of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Blaine and Byron Kimbrough and Ryan Sindt and four great-grandchildren, Grace, Preston, Samuel and Adrian. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at Central Church of Christ with Kirk Brothers officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund or Central Church of Christ Retirement Village.
