William S. Bill PRATER

McMinnville resident and Alabama native William S. "Bill" Prater, age 86, was born November 17, 1923 and died October 12, 2010 following an extended illness. A retired barber and a member of Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Jim Blane and Laura Ethel Young Prater. He was married November 5, 1970 to Frances Moore Prater of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Grace Starkey of Nashville, TN and Louise Underhill of Marshville, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 in High's Chapel with Nestor Stewart officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
