Joe Edward RAMSEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Joe Edward Ramsey, age 78, was born July 2, 1931 and died February 16, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a one-year illness. A retired shoe salesman of forty-eight years with King's Department Store, Maywood Shoes and B&H Shoes, he attended the East End Drive Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Clarence Clyde and Clara Elizabeth Donahue Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Edward Ramsey. He was married to Mary Arden Savage of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alex Wade and Rhonda Elaine Ramsey and Nelson O'Neal and Gale L. Ramsey both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Judvonte' Hakeem Ramsey, Kendra Cheyenne-Brooke Ramsey, Tyler Orlando Ramsey, Kaitlyn Marie Ramsey, Kennedy O'Neal Ramsey and Calvin Dwight Ramsey all of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 in High's Chapel with Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
