Gary Arndell RAPER

Sevierville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Gary Arndell Raper, age 62, was born July 7, 1947 and died March 3, 2010 at Ft. Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, TN following a brief illness. A machinist with C & W Armature and a United States Army veteran of Vietnam, he was the son of the late Arndell and Ruby Johnson Raper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Raper. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Joy Raper of Sevierville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Eric Rowe of Sevierville, TN; former wife, Gail Raper of Sevierville, TN; two grandchildren, Tyler Raper and Ruby Rowe both of Sevierville, TN; four sisters, Ginger Latham of McMinnville, Gayle Chrisman of Riceville, TN, Jan Breeden of Tullahoma, TN and Marcia Moore of Sevierville, TN and two brothers, Mike Raper of Sevierville, TN and Ricky Raper of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 in High's Chapel with family and friends officiating. Burial followed in Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High's.
