McMinnville resident and Coffee County, TN native Harold Loyd Rhea, age 82, was born June 16, 1927 and died April 1, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired carpenter with Price Smith Construction Company and member of the Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late John T. and Violet Zumbro Rhea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Lawson, Jean Masters and Tommy Jewell Holzworth and half-sister, Lucille Spangler. He was married January 13, 1950 to Dollie Roberts Rhea of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Gail Martin of McMinnville and Jennifer Elaine and Don Bowditch of Arizona; son, Michael Rhea, Sr. of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
