Carl M. ROBINSON

March 12, 1928 — December 17, 2010

Morrison, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native Carl M. Robinson, age 82, was born March 12, 1928 and died December 17, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of A.E.D.C. and a farmer, he was the son of the late Clifton and Ethel Hullett Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a United States Army veteran of Korea and a member of Allen's Chapel Methodist Church. He was married to Jo Jacobs Robinson who preceded him in death January 17, 2010. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ella Rose Robinson; two brothers, Charles and Edward Robinson; three sisters, Calysta Pedigo, Delia Foutch and Lois Williams; two sisters-in-law, Helen and Lucille Robinson and three brothers-in-law, Everett Pedigo, Louie Williams and Tom Washer. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Robinson of Nashville, TN, Michael and Leela Robinson of Morrison, TN and Mitch and Stephanie Robinson of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Kalyn, Kaine, Rhyan, Seth and Sam Robinson; great-grandchild, Kyler Robinson; brother, Brisco Robinson of Cookeville, TN; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Omega Hayes, Mary and Paul Parsley and Jo and Jesse Baker all of Smithville, TN; sisters-in-law, Marie Robinson and Jaqueline Robinson both of Smithville, TN; brother-in-law, James Foutch of Grand Rapids, MI and special friend, Boyd Atnip. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Bascom Methodist Church with Stacy Cowan, Douglas Jacobs and James Lester Hayes officiating. Burial followed in the Bascom Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Memorial contributions may be made to Morrison Ruritan Club where Mr. Robinson was a charter member.
